Laura comes to Ascension Multisport as a USAT Level 1 Coach. Laura has been racing triathlon since the Spring of 2016. Prior to that year, she didn’t know how to swim or shift gears effectively while riding a bike. Being self-motivated, she did what many new Triathletes do and sought out as many online resources & how-to videos on the subject as she could find. After her first season of successfully completing 10 sprint distance triathlons, and one Olympic, she was hooked, and decided she was going to become an Ironman. To help her accomplish this goal, Laura again did an extensive amount of research, and found a coach whose training philosophy aligned with her internal motivation. In 2017 she hired Ascension Multisport’s Head Coach Nick Cumbo. Laura can now proudly say she has completed 2 full Ironman Races and 4 Half Ironman races.
In her never ending desire to give back to the sport she loves Laura made the decision to share her experience and knowledge of triathlon with her fellow athletes by becoming a Coach. Whether you are completely new to the sport, or have been racing for years, Laura can help take you to the next level. Her passion for the sport is undeniable and contagious.
